Responsibilities
Conceive and develop strong original ideas for activeTV Drama, exploring opportunities that deliver a diverse range of proposals of quality and distinction
Proactively identify and develop new material and new talent, through keeping abreast of international television drama, regular theatre going, attending Film Festivals where possible, and awareness of the book market
Develop and maintain knowledge of script / talent sources and the availability and potential of emerging talent
Read and assesses scripts / treatments and also newly submitted ideas / scripts, attending read-throughs, script meetings and storylining days when needed
Develop ideas that are strong and unique enough to compete against the likes of some of the most successful international series of recent years
Identify IP (including books and formats) for the company to option and develop
Create presentations and lead pitches to key players in the international markets.
Skills and Qualifications Required
A successful track record in developing commercially successful and/or critically acclaimed television
Demonstrable writing skills and excellent knowledge of script and story structure
Significant and seasoned work experience in media and entertainment; television experience required (studio, cable, OTT or production development in television entertainment)
Superior ability to lead meetings, present and communicate effectively
Strong relationships within the creative community (agents, writers, producers, directors) and senior broadcast executives
A self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach; assertive, enthusiastic and highly motivated
Understanding of consumer trends, broadcaster requirements and new technologies
A team player who works well with others
Knowledge of the Asian production and broadcast market would be an advantage

The role requires monitoring & analysing key audience metrics to grow and create opportunities to increase reach, revenue and reputation.

About you
You are a highly organised and collaborative leader with a genuine passion for a variety of Sports but most importantly football & cycling. You will have a strong background as a producer of major international sports events and as a leader of a cross-platform production team.

You have extensive experience producing broadcast & digital media Sports content – live, delayed and on-demand. A high level experience in the production of football coverage is essential.

You have an ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation and an extensive network with the wider Sports and content providing community will be highly regarded.

You will be an avid consumer of sport content on a variety of broadcast, digital and social platforms.

The successful applicant will predominantly work regular hours but, as Sport happens around the clock, you must be willing to work hours around events as required.

About the Role
