SBS Food Online brings the world to your kitchen, sharing stories from Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD) through the lens of food – we truly believe in the power of food to bring people together.
About the role
We are looking for a part-time Video Editor/Producer for three days per week to edit and produce short-form video content, for our social media platforms and online, including food stories, cooking videos and an online-exclusive video series. You will work closely in promoting and supporting our flagship SBS Food programs and creating original online-exclusive content. You will also manage our video content database.
You thrive in a fast-paced digital editorial environment. You can edit and produce compelling, engaging short-form video content quickly to a daily deadline.
You have at least two years’ experience in a similar role editing and producing short-form video content either in food stories or cooking videos – preferably both.
You have high technical proficiency with Adobe video editing suite, including Premiere Pro and After Effects, and working with video content management systems.
You are deeply passionate about social media and are equally mad about creating content that is substantial or laugh-aloud *facepalm* silly; content that makes audiences stop scrolling; content that audiences want to share with their friends and family.
You are incredibly visual – you eat with your eyes and know that a food video is only as good as those “OMG, I need to eat that right now” moments.
You excel at time management, are awesome at juggling video projects simultaneously and have a deep understanding of creative and editorial rights management.
