Eureka has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced
POST TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR to join our team.

In this role, your daily duties will include:
• Oversee day to day technical operations and manage all post production facilities, technical requirements and department staff.
• Contribute to Post Facilities planning including submission of Capital and Operational Expenditure, Strategy and Goals.
• Design, install and maintain all post production technologies, including but not limited to editing & NAS storage, edit systems, audio workstations and graphics systems including hardware and software upgrades.
• Involved in recruitment of technical staff including IT and Engineering.
• Sourcing, negotiating and managing relationships with high quality suppliers of post services and hardware.
• Post related facilities management i.e. floor plans, equipment sourcing and set- up.
• Provide technical support for everything post related (including support for up to 30 internal avid suites and storage infrastructure).
• In collaboration with Post Supervisor, ensure all technical specifications are identified met for all shows i.e. domestic and international masters, audio stems, promo material etc.
• Creating, implementing and communicating efficient post production workflows across all shows.
• Consult on scoping post production resources for future shows.
• Sole communicator between production/field teams and post production for data management.
• Working with the finance department to ensure post production services are accurately accounted for.
• Create, implement and coordinate archive workflows across all shows.
• Sourcing, upgrading, repairing and maintaining all Post and IT related equipment.
• Keeping up to date with, and training all other staff on, any processes, software and hardware relating to production, post production and IT
• Supply production with technical and workflow advice.

You will enjoy working as part of a team and have a genuine passion for the media industry. Candidates will require advanced technical skills and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

Post Production Supervisor

POST PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR to join our team.

In this role, your daily duties will include:
• Working with the EP and Line Producer/PM, provide comprehensive post production supervision to all productions.
• Using multitasking skills, stay across Post Supervision of multiple projects at any one time.
• Provide ‘on the ground’ support for the production and post production teams from initial planning through to final delivery.
• Maintain daily contact with all key post personnel attached to a project and report on progress to PM’s regularly as required, leaving no reason for surprises.
• In collaboration with Executive team, be involved in sourcing and interviewing post staff for projects i.e. Edit Assistants, Data Wranglers, Transcribers, Post Coordinators.
• Ensure all delivery requirements are met for all shows ie. domestic and international masters, audio stems, promo material etc.
• Attend pre-production meetings, providing input to Post Production Schedule discussions and planning at an early stage.
• Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure all project deliverables meet scheduled deadlines, technical requirements are achieved and all content is correct, final & QC’d prior to being delivered to the Network.
• Assist sourcing graphics in close collaboration with the EP or/and Show Producers.
• Help the Development team with post requirements on pitches and sizzle reels etc.
• Help advise and train Post Production Coordinators where applicable.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this fast paced and diverse role you will be responsible for supervising a small team of Editors who produce non-linear packages for The Morning Show, The Daily Edition and integrated commercial segments. You and the team will edit feature stories, interviews, promos, overlay and work alongside our passionate producers.
This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position working primarily between the hours of 7am – 4pm.

ABOUT THE PERSON
To be successful in this position, you will have experience with fast paced cuts/dissolve and Non-Linear editing for quick turnaround during live events. You will be able to cut fast turnaround packages (3-6 mins long), co-ordinate a small team of Editors and have good knowledge and understanding of pop culture. You will also be capable of forming productive relationships with producers and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills, a positive and proactive approach, the drive and commitment to create a quality product and a highly developed attention to detail is essential. Experience with Quantel is advantageous.

FMA is currently seeking a Head of Post Production to lead their post-production team. This position reports to the Director of Programming.

The main duties for this position will include planning, budgeting and implementation of post-production workflows, projections for capital expenditure, asset management and annual departmental budgeting & reporting.

You will be responsible for technical evaluation, equipment and stock purchasing plus advise on studio & location technical requirements.

In addition to assisting in selection and recruitment of casual roles for individual productions, you will oversee and manage a team of full-time staff including; Edit Assistants, Online Operators, Media Services, Engineering, Technical Operations and Facilities.

Other duties include project budgeting and quoting and liaison with external providers. On occasions, you will Post Supervise projects.

PERSON PROFILE

The successful candidate will possess both solid and broad experience working in a post-production facility or department in a senior managerial capacity with multiple direct reports.

The candidate should have a strong knowledge and experience in relation to editing hardware and software, end to end workflows, digital asset management, distribution and related technical knowledge.

You must have previously had responsibility for team management with performance and development of staff including setting and assessing annual objectives. You should possess strong team leadership skills coupled with excellent interpersonal and high level communication skills.

The right candidate will possess high level organisational skills and an ability to function in high pressure situations.
Experience in budgeting and planning is required, along with resource management skills.

You should also have superior project management skills including the ability to deliver projects on time and on budget.

Confident and clear communication skills to deal with various levels of production staff and management and to ensure seamless communication
Appreciation of the production process including the needs of stakeholders’ deadlines
Knowledge of AVID Interplay systems and EVS
There will be some flexibility required in this role for occasional evening and weekend work for out of hours maintenance and other production requirements.
