The role will see you work with all relevant SWM departments across Digital and Broadcast including senior management, product, marketing & sales and third-party suppliers including IOC to ensure the Tokyo Olympic games are successfully delivered, supported and managed.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for great consumer products, Television and OTT(Streaming) Product delivery. You must be a leader and manager who can clearly articulate their ideas, be able to interpret business requirements and convert them into development and delivery plans, timelines and projects. You also must be personable, have an amazing attention to detail and able to guide our key stakeholders on our digital journey.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage stakeholders across all areas of the business, on the project, including legal, publicity, marketing, sport, promos, design, engineering, production, programming, data, research, development, sales and finance teams.
Effective stakeholder management, including Executive Management, to provide confidence in project processes and set expectations appropriately
Manage reporting to stakeholders including budget tracking, schedules updates, resourcing assignment, risks and issues register with appropriate escalation processes
Lead matrix teams with cross functional staff from all relevant business units
Resource assignment and levelling to ensure that available resources are used effectively
Communicate throughout teams and lead by example
To be successful in this role you will have:
7 years’ experience directing the programme delivery of consumer-facing, digital products and services using both Agile and conventional (e.g. Prince 2) project and programme management methodologies.
Management of projects or programmes with budgets in excess of $5m p.a. and a track record of demonstrable, successful delivery.
Senior leadership experience in the development of global, high-volume, high-availability, consumer facing, digital products and services in the media, publishing and news sectors.
Experience delivering products and services in the subscription and/or transactional video-on-demand space
Requires knowledge of the entire digital video production, management and distribution chain with a focus on B2C video applications.
Experience leading and setting the vision for multi-disciplined, global programme teams
Stakeholder Engagement – experience of managing in a complex organisational environment where influencing and stakeholder engagement are paramount to success
People Management – capability to attract, recruit and retain talent. Ability to develop personnel through the organisation

Over the last ten years, SBS has developed and produced many acclaimed online interactive programs that unite the highest editorial and storytelling with innovations in technology including Walkley-award winning She Called Me Red, My Grandmother’s Lingo, Cronulla Riots: the day that shocked the nation and The Block as well as the FWA/Adobe recognised The Boat, SXSW and Webby recognised K’Gari amongst others.

Online documentaries is a small team within SBS Commissioned Content who drive the editorial concepts and content production for the slate of interactive documentaries. We work closely with the independent creative sector, the internal SBS Innovation team and external agencies to create and build these projects.
About the role

Reporting into the Commissioning Editor, Online Documentaries the Producer/ production manager will work to maintain SBS’s innovation remit and continue to explore and expand new forms of documentary storytelling using technology.
The main tasks/responsibilities include:

Working alongside the Commissioning Editor, the Producer/ production manager will support the creation of highest standard editorial concepts in line with SBS’s editorial vision that merge story and technology.
Ensuring all project deliverables are achieved on time and within budget and project managing development, production and launch of these projects.
Working with internal and external stakeholders to promote and publicise the slate of Online documentaries to ensure the content achieves its full potential by with maximum audience reach.
Helping support the slate of Online documentaries, including the creation of short form video, photo-essays and other content for social media channels.
Developing project scope documents including schedules, budgets, creative briefs, storyboards and project decks, where necessary.
Assisting the Commissioning Editor to forge relationships with external partners.

About you
We are looking for someone with at least two key credits for documentary, long-form news coverage, film and/or entertainment projects whether developed for television, festivals or online distribution. You would ideally have at least 3 years’ documentary or multimedia journalism experience with advanced editorial and production skills.
We will need someone who is highly organised, forward-thinking problem solver and demonstrated ability to work to strict editorial guidelines, tight deadlines within approved budgets as well as line producing/ project management skills. In addition, you would need to be able to:

Generate social media content and have experienced best practice producing for the web and other digital platforms.
Be able to project manage long-term documentary projects with multiple stakeholders.
Conceive and execute new content ideas to increase traffic and audiences.
Be proficient in digital video production, Photoshop, Powerpoint
Have experience in project management including agile and waterfall and understanding of web-based tools/experience using content management systems.
Be available to be rostered for shift work.

The Role:
A rare opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and savvy production manager to join our talented in-house production team.
Working as a collective team with the EP, Creative Director and Technical Director you will contribute and coordinate the smooth running of productions through the animation department. Critical to this role will be your ability to manage and allocate resources including staff for effective and efficient delivery of jobs. You will track the status and schedule work across various jobs, complete daily reports and assist with miscellaneous requirements as needed.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
Update and manage the master schedule with EP
Administration and set up of new job sheets for incoming jobs
Prepare, maintain and distribute artwork, storyboards, reports, etc. as needed to appropriate personnel
Manage and track incoming and outgoing materials and ensure latest materials and feedback is distributed to artists
Lead the day to day running of all projects and department(s)
Draft and manage internal and client schedules through production planning, coordination and troubleshooting
Provide the Producers, Directors, Production Manager and artists with support to enable them to complete their work
Develop and utilise planning systems and ‘work in process’ tracking systems daily
Ensure procedures are followed to ensure workflow from one department to the next is as seamless as possible
Stay abreast of issues on the floor, ensure all artists are aware of priorities
Provide administrative support and back up support to the directors
Log ticket on machine and software issues to IT support

Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
Ability to present information in a concise and digestible form for managers
