Reporting to the Executive Producer, in this key role you will:
• Investigate, research and write stories for Australia’s leading media programs, Media Watch and Media Bites
• Consume and analyse a broad range of media/journalism across radio, print, online and TV
• Develop and maintain a wider range of contacts.

About You
With daily journalism experience in digital media, print, radio or television and demonstrated experience in using a range of research techniques with speed and accuracy, you will bring:
• The ability to write and generate original story ideas for Media Watch and Media Bites
• Strong analytical and writing skills.
• A working knowledge of Australian media
• Demonstrated ability to analyse media content and utilise contacts.
• An open mind and healthy scepticism

Popular Lifestyle Television Series is looking for a Lifestyle Researcher to join our team on “The Living Room”

You will present story concepts to the Executive Team and set stories up from Top to Tail.
You will be required to source filming guests, find filming locations, apply for filming permits, ensure all release forms including appearance, location and copyright releases are completed and filed with the production team.
As a researcher you will be required to do thorough fact checks, compile written briefs for Producers and Talent. You will write fact sheets comprising all details of the segment.
In setting up the shoots the researcher will be required to source all relevant OHS documentation to support the filming and identified filmed activities as per company policies and procedures.
This is a Sydney based position commencing on the mid August 2018 through to mid 2019.

The right candidate will be a good multi-tasker with close attention to detail, should work well in a team environment but also be able to work autonomously.

ABC Technology are looking for an Archives Researcher to work on a wide range of ABC productions, both internal and external co-productions. The successful applicant will have an interest in archival research, has research skills and database searching experience, and a good understanding of copyright in a broadcast environment.

You will:
Conduct research assignments for content as required
Identify and advise on rights issues related to the use of material
Audition and assess material for program, sales and archival purposes
Carry out appropriate adminstrative and research reporting requirements
Provide training, guidance, and advice in the retrieval of digital content
Ensure loans and returns of Library items complying with Content Services

About You
You will have appropriate tertiary qualifications or relevant equivalent experience and a demonstrated ability to provide research in order to identify or recommend appropriate material.

You will also:
Demonstrate ability to use electronic databases and digital content systems
Have knowledge of copyright and underlying rights in a broadcasting
Provide a good understanding of the management of content in a digital environment

The ability to work with various digital media formats
Good communication, problem solving and organisational skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team. 4 month contract approx.
