Content, it’s the lifeblood of Viacom and we need a Senior Producer who can create awesome content for MTV Australia and New Zealand on a permanent basis.

In this role, you will primarily be responsible for managing brand and commercial productions for MTV Australia and New Zealand channels as we as working across our other brands, including Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. You will be responsible for pitching ideas, writing treatments and creating compelling content for a variety of brands. You will have both a deep understanding of MTV, pop culture and current influencers and also an intimate knowledge of all things video across every social media platform including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Snapchat.
You are a production whiz and thrive on creating entertaining and engaging video content that appeals to the MTV audience.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
Production of content – mainly commercial integration, series or tent poles, including events – in accordance with overall content strategy
Delivery of locally produced content for multi-platform distribution
Brainstorm with internal team and freelancers to produce quality output
Directing talent, influencers and VJ’s.
Storytelling for short-form content
Lighting and basic sound knowledge
Director treatments and storyboards for clients
Proficiency in post-production techniques (editing Premiere/Adobe Suite)
Budget management and schedules
Proficiency in writing briefs for graphic designers or other self-shooters.
Proficiency in green screen shoot/lighting and keying
Training internal team to produce quality output
If you are the chosen one, you will have:
7+ years of production experience in a digital advertising or youth publisher or TV channel.
Thorough knowledge of production, digital content and online initiatives
Experience of overseeing crews on TVCs and long form productions
Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable (completion of secondary education required)
Strong graphic design and animation skills, including concept mock-ups and animation for socially lead campaigns
Experience of self-shooting camera operator
Knowledge of camera lighting for filming
Knowledge of sound recording on location/studio
Editing software – Premiere Pro
Accreditation in OFLC programming ratings desirable
After Effects or Motion – preferred
HTML and PHP
Strong understanding of social media and communication
