An exciting opportunity exists at THE PROJECT for an experienced full time Melbourne-based Entertainment Producer for an immediate start.

THE ROLE
In this role you will be responsible for producing entertainment and celebrity based content for the show.

You will research, write scripts and interview questions, and oversee post production for a mixture of live segments and packaged pre-recorded content. Some field producing is involved and ENPS competency is a plus.

This role works closely with talent and high profile guests.

PERSON PROFILE
Applicants should have proven experience in writing, researching and producing entertainment content in a television environment and have a flair for creative writing with a touch of humour.

You must be able to work under pressure to strict daily deadlines. You should also possess a welcoming demeanour.

An extensive understanding of the television making process is essential as is the ability to work as part of a team of creative and passionate story tellers.

Segment Producer

Our award winning Children’s production unit in Brisbane are on the hunt for a Segment Producer to join the creative team in the children’s department.This role will be working on a variety of shows currently being produced including Totally Wild and our brand new show Gamify.

What will I be doing?
Producing entertaining and creative television that is of interest to a tween and a teen audience, working on a variety of shows such as Totally Wild and Gamify.
Researching, writing and off-line editing factual stories as allocated
Writing and off-line editing narrative driven scenes and stories
Completing supplementary material for stories, scenes and episodes (graphics requests, administrative paperwork etc)
Contributing new story, plot and segment ideas
Field producing factual stories, dramatic scenes and physical challenges as required
Come up with heaps of awesome ideas for the show
Working with an amazingly talented group of people
Understandably we will need you to have previous experience in creative writing for TV and be all over the requirements of Children’s Television Standards and copyright regulations. Previous experience directing talent and segment producing would be highly advantageous.
