WTFN, one of Australia’s leading television production companies, is seeking an experienced Production Accountant to join our finance team. The position is located in Hawthorn, Melbourne. The primary responsibility of this hands-on role will be to ensure the effective financial management of our projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, your key responsibilities will include –
Monthly cost reports
Producer Offset provisional and final applications
Budget management and control
The team includes payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable officers and an accountant. To be successful in this role you must have recent experience in a Production Accounting role in the media industry (preferably television production), have good organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines, and a flexible and a proactive approach to problem solving. Your ability to communicate and work with people at all levels and drive process improvements will be critical to your success. Main Tasks: Core tasks.
Work with Production Managers to create A-Z production budgets and cashflow forecasts.
Monthly accruals and recharges to complete cost reports
Data entry into WTFN’s financial system as required
Project cost reports for a variety of stakeholders
Producer offset provisional applications
Producer offset final applications
Ensure compliance with WTFN’s financial policies
Work with the finance team and IT Manager to implement an upgraded finance and production management system
Process mapping of core tasks, and creating or updating policies and procedures
Salary and Role Type:
Up to 100K
