Now in its 20th year in Australia, Nickelodeon is a globally recognised and widely distributed multimedia entertainment brand for kids and family and puts kids first in everything it does. From its Sydney headquarters, Nickelodeon operates two linear television networks (Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.) across Australia and New Zealand. The company includes both locally produced and global television programming, plus consumer products, digital applications, theme parks, recreation, books and feature films. This role is responsible for completing a diverse range of administrative duties for the Creative Services department along with Project Management support tasks. The role will be focused predominantly on all non-creative tasks to ensure that all administration, compliance and finance requirements are completed to prescribed quality standards and time frames. Based in our Darlinghurst office, the key responsibilities for this role include:
• Provide general administration, research and database management to creative services and project management teams
• In collaboration with the Production Coordinator manage all shoot requirements including booking locations, crew, talent/castings, props and shoot requirements
• Perform Project Support Officer tasks including assisting the Project Manager and Team Managers in maintenance of project plans, recording and reporting systems, issue logs and change control records
• Basic finance administration support including raising purchase orders, vendor management, submitting invoices and credit card reconciliation
• Attend shoots as a Production Runner/Assistant and assist shoot producers as required
• Completing Viacom compliance processes (Legal, HR & Finance) under direction of Production Coordinator and PM
• Manage and allocate interns daily tasks
• Building effective relationships with colleagues, customers (internal and external), client representatives (on shoots) and management to ensure efficient execution of day-to-day operations and strategic plans
The successful candidate will have:
• 1 year experience in an administration based role
• Previous experience in TV Production would be a strong advantage
• Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable (completion of secondary education required)
• Proficiency with professional software, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
• Pro-active communication skills
