The Senior Production Coordinator’s primary responsibility is assisting the Production Manager whilst supplying further logistical and administrative support to the production department. The Senior Production Coordinator is required to support the department in all areas of logistics and administration, setting up shoots, some research to create interstitials, short form and general on air support for Disney Channels, ESPN & Maker Studios. 6 month Fixed Term Contract. Responsibilities
As a Senior Production Coordinator you will be responsible for * Production Management Support *Chasing invoices and timesheets and preparing Casual Payroll for approval on Fridays * Creating budgets for small internal, and integrated partnerships jobs * Attending Production Budget Meetings * Scheduling the team and shoots across the slate * Tracking and processing costs on company AMEX * Assist Production Manager with all departmental administrative needs as required; Ensure all the contacts and details have been collated and the Production Manager is informed of all shoots and bookings; In consultation with Production Manager, liaise with crew and talent to make and update bookings; Assist Production Manager in coordinating all logistical aspects of shoots, including preparation and issuing call sheets, find and organise locations, parking, check lighting and wet weather options etc. Assist with schedules, department tracking documents and calendars; Assist with internal processes in the employment of children whilst maintaining regular communication with the Production Manager on these requirements;
Ensure legal paperwork and release forms are signed and filed accordingly for each shoot; Assist Production Manager with agendas, minutes and meeting planning; Track content output for the department for reporting purposes;
SAP invoice processing and T&E and expense reconciliation as required; Assist with props budget tracking.
Support Regular Formats. Assist with story ideas in brainstorming meetings, research and co-ordination;
Enquire and source extra media for stories e.g. video clips, sports footage and photos.
Source props and costumes as required for shoots; Source Talent including screening via phone interviews & filming on-camera auditions. Other General Support: Assist Producers with music cue sheets and other post production administration; Assist Producers and other members of the crew on shoots;
General production support including couriers, props buying, ordering stock etc;
Assist Producers where required in the coordination of shoots and work on set as a Production Assistant, as required; Adhere to budgets, post production protocols, post production schedules and delivery dates;
Liaise with other departments within the company when required for group initiatives involving synergy support.
Basic Qualifications; To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Minimum/ demonstrated 3 years’ experience within a television organisation.Diploma in TV or related area ideal
Display a strong interest in television specifically in Kids TV and family entertainment
Good organisational skills; Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;
Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Thrive in a fast-paced, pressured, dynamic environment
Great communicator and positive disposition;
Ability to work both autonomously and as a team player in a small team environment when required;
Ability to work within budgetary and deadline constraints;
Knowledge of broadcast camera & editing equipment, Adobe Premiere an advantage;
Firm grasp of the production process from inception to delivery;
Great communication skills from children to adults;
Versed in the various protocols of child employment an advantage.
