ABC Television are looking for a Production Manager to create, develop, manage and deliver Catalyst episodes in a timely and cost effective manner to meet program objectives.
Catalyst is the ABC’s flagship science television show. In 2017, it will explore a single subject, in one-hour episodes. It will showcase significant Australian and international science discoveries that have an impact on the broad Australian public.
You will be the main point of contact for all production management matters, including:
Coordinate, plan and schedule episodes of Catalyst with understanding of science documentaries.
Monitor and coordinate the use of labour, facilities, equipment and financial resources.
Continually review performance/ expenditure trends and report back to the Executive Producer.
Continually review implementation of, and adherence to, commissioned production schedules.
Supervise the work of administrative staff, including training and development and roster as required.
We are looking for a Production Manager with experience in all aspects of production management for television programs. You will ensure the program’s operational resources and financial management meet budget requirements. Confident, organised and ability to multi-task will be key to your success in the role. Sound knowledge of television production planning and scheduling procedures.
Highly developed resource and financial management skills.
Excellent planning, organisation, communication and negotiation skills.
Advanced computer skills and knowledge of relevant software including accounting systems and spreadsheets.
Jan start – 11 month contract.
Pay bracket $85K – $93K p.a. (pro rata) + choice of 15.4% super
