Are you a video editor with AE experience who’s looking to explore new challenges, and work for an organisation that isn’t afraid to speak out on behalf of consumers? Do you have great post production skills, and a desire to work more behind the camera? This role will see you working in a small team, creating video content for our website and social media channels. You will be working with the Video Production Manager servicing a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the organisation, acting as a one stop shop for all aspects of video production through concept, creation, post and deployment. The work is amazingly varied, covering everything from washing machine reviews to free range chicken campaigns, and everything in between.
With strong skills in post production and visual storytelling techniques, you will set standards of visual excellence and style for CHOICE’s video content. You will also give vital support to content producers and journalists within CHOICE in helping them deliver fast turnaround content they have generated on a cloud-based editing software. You will have a great eye for detail and know how to meet industry standards in post production, and help others achieve that as well.
The core component of this role will be to:
Post produce high quality video content, including editing, applying titles and supers as well as demonstrated use of AE and compositing techniques within it.
Work with journalists across the organisation and assist them to produce fast turnaround content using cloud-based software.
Write scripts & generate concepts for videos.
Produce and shoot video content
Can you demonstrate your:
Experience in the use of Davinci Resolve 12, Premiere Pro or other professional NLEs.
A demonstrated experience in delivering quality graphics and use of compositing tools in AE.
Demonstrated experience in delivering high quality TV and/or online video content.
Demonstrated experience using colour correction tools in a post production workflow.
A working knowledge of lighting for interviews and other basic lighting set ups.
A working knowledge of professional or semi-professional video cameras and shooting in 4K, and the use of sound equipment.
Desirable: Bachelor in media studies or other relevant tertiary qualification
